Pictures of our home

I don't have much to say tonight, because it's late and I'm tired...but, many of you have been inquiring what our new home looks like so here are some shots! In order: Entryway. Kitchen, during unpacking. Dining Room/Living Room. Music spot! Office, unfinished. Upstairs hallway. Bedroom (2 views). One (of three!) bathrooms.

Missing all, Joey:)

Go to the ant, thou sluggard.

So... I haven't been the greatest at blogging, hugh. The truth is that the room where my computer is located, our office, is the only room that is unfinished. Being in it makes me uncomfortable. In addition, these past couple weeks have been really difficult. Moving can be compared to an ant farm. The ants are so dedicated to build a home, long hours, night and day. Then some intruder comes by and shakes up all of their hard work. Disrtraught, empty, lonely.
The Lord is at work. I am so thankful to have my husband here with me.

Organizing

The unpacking is pretty much done, now it's just organizing! We have piles/categories of stuff lying around, just waiting for a home! Yesterday, I purchased a great many stackable storage containers. Today I wonder if it'll be enough. I guess it's time to get rid of some stuff. I'm retiring from the business of trying to find a good home for "my old dinnerware set for four" or "a bag that once was put to good use," now it's just time for goodwill.

Unpacking

This week we have been unpacking and getting settled into our new home. I have also been spending a lot of my free time with my new friend Heather, who has two boys, Toby, 2 1/2, and Matty, who will be one this Saturday. Heather is the wife of Rick's GM, Andy Slatkin. I have been so excited that I already have a friend down here, yet I just found out yesterday that they are being transferred to Atlanta. I know God will provide friends and ministry opportunities, yet I can't believe my new friend is already moving!

Anyway, back to unpacking...things are going great. We knocked out the kitchen Tues. and Wed. and I put a huge dent into the Master Bedroom and Office today. After some good solid work tomorrow, we should be all set to move ourselves in tomorrow night. In addition, we'll have to pack up and move Rick's stuff from the corporate apartment, including the cats (here we go again...this will be Traminette's fourth move and Houston's second!). Well, I'm yawning and Rick just recently got home, so I'll say good night! Call anytime. I've got plenty of time to talk!
